Key message image

I join Bishop Selwyn with over five years of experience in the retirement living industry. Prior to my current role, I managed two villages in Christchurch, where I was dedicated to creating a warm, welcoming, and vibrant community for residents, families, and staff.
Originally from Wellington, I moved to Christchurch with my husband and son 22 years ago and have loved the lifestyle the city offers. After taking a year away from work to care for family, I’m delighted to return to the sector and lead the dedicated team at Bishop Selwyn.
Outside of work, I enjoy walking my dog Zac, gardening, socializing with friends and family, and traveling. My son is living in London with his fiancée, and I’m really looking forward to celebrating their wedding early next year.

There is a genuine sense of belonging with our communities being well integrated.

We are proud of our comprehensive activities programme, which caters to the needs of our diverse residents. Residents, family, and friends are encouraged to stroll through our tranquil garden setting, which has many restful areas.

From Monday to Friday a daycare programme also operates from our rest home.

Our approach to care

At Alden, we believe that all our elders deserve compassionate, trusted and respectful care, no matter their means or background. Our nurses and caregivers offer personalised care backed by industry-leading qualifications and training.

Premium room charges

Premium room charges apply to rooms with enhanced features, a private ensuite, a more spacious room or a desirable location within the facility. These charges cover the extra comfort provided, and are separate from the basic care and accommodation fees, which are typically covered by the government subsidy or the resident’s funding.
